This one bedroom luxury apartment at Villa Terroni is fully self-contained and is on the ground floor of a fine contemporary Villa in the hills north of Lucca. The newly built swimming pool is shared with its welcoming but discreet English/Italian owners - Paolo and Varinia Terroni.
The Villa is located in the quiet and picturesque village of Villa Collemandina approximately 1.5 hours driving time from Pisa airport and just 15 minutes from Castelnuovo di Garfagnana, the nearest large town. The village is 550m above sea level and has two restaurants, two supermarkets, a post office, bank and chemist all within easy walking distance. Castelnuovo is the main shopping town with its large weekly market and the tourist attractions of Tuscany (Florence, Lucca, Pisa, the Mediterranean coast etc.) are all easily accessible.
The ground floor accommodation consists of :
Own independent entrance via stone steps with a large and airy entrance hall.
Well equipped open-plan kitchen with modern fittings including stainless steel hob, double sink with draining rack above, large integrated fridge/freezer and microwave, mini oven, toaster etc. Guests also have the use of the large utility room with two washing machines (one with drying facilities) which is also situated on the ground floor of the main house.
The open-plan lounge/dining room is comfortable and newly furnished. It has a terracotta floor with a large refectory table and 6 chairs and features an in-built stone and brick pizza oven and open fireplace. There is also satellite TV, Video/DVD player and Hi-Fi. All windows have been fitted with bug blinds.
The bedroom has a king-size bed, bedside drawers, a new 'cherrywood' wardrobe and a hand-basin with a large mirror above. The french-doors lead out onto the private terrace and swimming pool.
The bathroom comprises of a large walk-in shower, sink with mirrored cabinet, WC and bidet.
Outside there are sun-loungers, parasol, table/chairs for private dining and a barbecue. The swimming pool measures 10m x 5m and is surrounded by lawn and mature fruit and olive trees. Fragrant lavender edges the terrace.
Ample shaded parking with an 'in and out' driveway to the front of Villa Terroni.
The apartment at Villa Terroni is available from May until the end of September on a weekly basis (Saturday to Saturday).
